Obituary of Elmer Joseph Arsenault

May 7, 1941 ~ March 8, 2025 With broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Elmer Arsenault of Summerside, formerly of Mont-Carmel, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Born May 7, 1941, he was the beloved husband of the late Cécile Arsenault (November 2021), and son of the late Hector and Kate (née Poirier) Arsenault of Mont-Carmel. Elmer is survived by his loving children: Liette McInnis, Darrell (Denise), Violet (Stephen) Whitney, Richard (Sherry) and Kevin; also, by his sister Stella Frenette; by his grandchildren: Sam and Justin McInnis, Cassidy and Ethan Arsenault; and great grandchild Atticus Skiffington. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law: Doreen Gallant and Zita Arsenault. Predeceased by his parents Hector and Kate Arsenault and his brothers-in-law Albert Arsenault and Cedric Arsenault. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. A service of the Liturgy of the Word will be held at the Évangéline Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025. Interment will follow the service in the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church Cemetery in Mont-Carmel. Donations made in Elmer’s memory to the Wellington Fire Dept. will be greatly appreciated.
