November 17, 1935 - April 8, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Hermine Gallant at the Summerset Manor on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, formerly of Abram-Village age 89 years. Born November 17, 1935, she was the beloved wife of the late Jacques J. Gallant (April 2021), and daughter of the late Honoré and Eva (née Caissie) Gallant.

Hermine is survived by her loving children Stella (Aurele) Arsenault, Elmer (Diane) Gallant, Marcel Gallant and Donald Gallant. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters Claire and Geralda (Bill) and by her sisters-in-law Elva, Joanne and Archange.

She was a loving grandmother (mémé) to Liette, Michel (Corrie), Julie, Guy (Liette), Gisèle (Nick) and loving great grandmother to Keegan, Olivia, Gavin, Zoe, Ariya and Mia.

Predeceased by her parents; by her husband; by her brothers: Melvin, Raymond, Adrien; by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Albert, Vitaline (Donat), Eveline (Edmond), Léo (Adelina), Camille (Ida) and Lucie (Edmond).

Hermine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and cherished friend to many. She loved cooking, painting, making pottery, playing card games, travelling and signing. Sunday family suppers were a treasured tradition. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always providing them with love and support. She always made everyone feel welcomed. Her generosity and selflessness left a lasting impact on many. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home in Urbainville, for visiting hours on Tuesday, April 22 from 6pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay on Wednesday, April 23 at 10:30am. Interment in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Parish Cemetery, Egmont Bay at a later date.
