Dear family,
We are saddened to hear of Hermine's death. I was hoping to be able to say another good-bye to her when I am on the Island again this summer, but I am grateful for the wonderful visits and memories I now hold dearly in my heart.. My dear cousin Hermine, lived a beautiful life of service to her family and community. She leaves a legacy of Courage, Faith, Hospitality, Kindness and most of all Love that we can carry in our hearts forever. We wish all of you serenity amidst your grief, as you celebrate a life so well lived, We hope that the love and pride she felt for each of you and all the happy memories of family gatherings bring you comfort and peace.
I am reminded of the words of St. Augustine, " Love never dies when a loved one dies. It lives on in another chamber of our hearts. The link is not severed".
