Ben always had a smile on his face when he came into my Grade 9 Social Studies Class. For our Human Rights Hero project: Ben and his group researched and compiled a poster on NBA player Magic Johnson. I have this memory of Ben working so hard on the artwork for this poster: especially these Nike shoes. I saved the poster as an example for future projects as it was so well done.
I can still hear him saying "Hey Mrs. Dawson!" every time he saw me and not hesitating to throw me the football when I was on reccess duty. He was kind, polite and such a great big brother to his sisters. When he sang at his Grade 9 Graduation, the entire room was in awe of his absolutely beautiful voice.
My husband Chad and I are praying for you during this heartbreaking time. Ben had such a big heart, he was a wonderful student and left such an impression on me as a Teacher. He will always be remembered; his infectious smile and laugh will always be missed.

Ben was the definition of light and happiness. He will be missed by many, and I hope he knows it wherever he is now. I remember him always smiling in the hallways, and making me laugh every time I would talk to him. Rest in peace, Ben, thanks for being the kind of person you were.

I was very fortunate to have had Ben as a student in Grade 3 at Miscouche Consolidated School, and it was a joy to watch him grow as he moved through the grades and on to high school. Ben was full of life, with a friendly and fun personality, many friends, and a wide range of talents — especially in sports. I will never forget him or the song he sang at his Grade 9 Closing. Such a tragedy. Thinking of you all. He will be missed so deeply.❤️

Benjamin was the nicest kid to talk to at school! Always had a smile on his face I don’t think there was ever a moment I would walk by him in the hall and he’d have a mad look on his face. He never was angry. My best memories of Ben is when we played against each other in hockey in Evangeline and he was on the ice with sunglasses on under his helmet! Another great memory is we both used to go to the same youth group before he switched church’s. he was new to the church so everything was new to him but he understood some stuff that was happening. I remember getting Prayed for and the first person who came over after I was done being prayed for was Ben and he gave me a big hug and said love ya Clow. He will be forever missed but never forgotten! LLBD and BD2Slick 4Ever

Ben lit up every single room he walked into. He was such a kind soul and always put a smile on my face. Anytime I would go into the Wellington Esso as he was working he’d always ask how I was. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was too good for this world ❤️ Ben touched the hearts of so many people and he will be missed by many.

I met Ben during my exchange year in Canada and throughout the whole year he was there for me. I remember sitting in the morning and afternoon bus with him. I remember him giving me free concerts and singing along to the songs that were playing. I will miss those days so much. Ben was such a loving and caring person and made everyone feel good about themselves.
He had to go too soon. My heart goes out to his parents and his sisters Alex, Emily and Elizabeth.
Rest in peace Ben, we’ll miss you every day!

ben is an amazing guy, he never failed to make me laugh or smile and he really was the life of the party. My last memory with ben was actually right outside of walmart, he seen me and he goes is that my bestie Maddie Cornish and he runs up to me and dabs me up and hugs me my mom says he pretty neat took me out meaning i almost fell, I then gave him a kinder egg and told him we have to hangout soon and he said yesss slay. I wil forever cherish that moment with him, he was my guy best friend, he genuinely ment so much to me. He was such an awesome, kind, funny, genuine guy. Ben knew everyone and he wasn’t scared to be himself. I send my condolences to his family, i can’t imagine how they must feel, don’t be scared to reach out if you need anything.

We met the hilarious Ben back in 2019 while visiting PEI from Ontario, the family was camping at the same campground we were at and the kids instantly became best friends!! They all made the 2 weeks fly by, with Ben and Alex and Emily over at our campsite from 8am onwards. The kids played so well together, Ben being the oldest in the group, taught them all this hilarious farting song, and sang it over 100x in one day until all the kids were singing it non stop! Haha he always knew how to make them laugh. He joined in all the card games, blocks and bike rides there was too offer. We have stayed in touch over the years and it's been amazing to watch Ben grow and become a smart, young man with so much love for his sister and family. Terry and myself, Jameson, Addy and Ellie are all heartbroken for the families loss and will continue sending all the prayers and love.

Our thoughts have been full of many memories of Ben over the years. Our twins, played on different sports teams with Ben and our daughter Lauryn was blessed with being in his class from Kindergarten on. There is something special about the bond Consolidated School kids have that cannot be matched.
Our sweet Lauryn is shattered and missing her daily chats with her bestie. The night Ben passed, Lauryn was looking for pictures on her phone. As she went through the 100s she has with Ben, she found a couple of videos he made on her phone. It was from a couple of weeks ago. He must have made them without her noticing. Well, that night she played those videos over and over. She has the most beautiful pictures and videos to hang onto as well a the abundance of amazing memories over the last 12 years. This summer they had so much fun making memories.
I have to say a sign of a good kid is when they respect the child's parents too. Ben was so respectful and always made me smile. Every sentence, question or comment was addressed with "Lauryn's sweet mom". I can still hear him
God, we will miss him so much but will hold onto these cherished memories.
Robyn and Brad I cannot imagine the pain. We wrap our arms around you for strength and if you need anything please let us know.
