Obituary of Eileen Mary Arsenault
February 21, 1934 ~ December 8, 2025
It is with profound sadness that the family of Eileen Mary Arsenault (née Gallant) announces her passing at the Prince County Hospital on December 8, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on February 21, 1934, Eileen was the devoted wife of Alcide Arsenault of Summerside, formerly of Cape Egmont, and the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Peters) Gallant of Oyster Bed Bridge, PEI.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth (Angela), Wayne, Darlene (Wade) Ryder, and Kevin (Sharon), as well as by her daughter-in-law, Dawn Arsenault. She is survived by her siblings, Vince, Agnes Elford, Bernice Sheehan, Pius (Joan), and Gladys (Denis); by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Norma Vautour, Eric (Julie), Alta, Marie (Amand) Bernard, Freddy (Sheila), and Irene; and by her grandchildren, Katera, Bradley (Tamara), Kendra (Tyler), Chad (Megan), Alecia, Brandon, David, and Megan, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will hold her memory dear.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Catherine Gallant; her parents-in-law, AIbin and Béatrice Arsenault; her brother, Francis (Beverly); and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald Elford, Edwin Gallant, James Sheehan, Aline (Johnny) Richard, Roger Vautour, Hector Arsenault, and Gavin Arsenault.
Resting at Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, Eileen’s family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 11, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church, Mont-Carmel, on Friday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment in the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Mont-Carmel Church would be gratefully appreciated.
