Obituary of Marie "Louise" Arsenault

April 22, 1963 ~ December 17, 2025 After a four-year long and courageous battle with cancer, Marie “Louise” (née Richard) Arsenault passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 62 years. Born on April 22, 1963, Louise was the beloved wife of Stephen Arsenault of Wellington; cherished daughter of Eva (née Cormier) Richard and the late Léo Richard of Wellington; and loving daughter-in-law of Evelyn Arsenault and the late Cyrus Arsenault, also of Wellington. Louise will be lovingly remembered by her brother and sisters: Anne (Wayne) Compton, Paul (Debbie), and Roma (Dan) McNeil; as well as by her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Eldon, Alphonse (Joann), John (Pam), Roy (Patsy), Zita (Allain), David (Chrissy), Nancy (Kent) Corney, Margaret, and Linda Begg. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and by her beloved fur babies, Max and Marty. Louise was predeceased by her father Léo Richard; her father-in-law Cyrus Arsenault; her stepfather Eric Arsenault; and brothers-in-law E.J. Arsenault and Paul Arsenault. Resting at Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for visiting hours on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Parish Cemetery following the service. Memorial donations in Louise’s memory may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the PEI Humane Society and would be gratefully appreciated.
