Obituary of Claudette Marie McNeill

April 19, 1947 ~ December 28, 2025 It is with sadness in our hearts, that we announce the passing of Claudette Marie McNeill of the Summerset Manor, Summerside and formerly of Abram-Village, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PE at the age of 78 years. We remember a remarkable wife, mother, and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. Her caring nature, warm laughter, and gentle guidance created a nurturing home for us all. Always active in her community and in life, she embraced new ideas and experiences. She cherished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will bring us comfort and joy. Though she left us at the age of 78, her spirit and the lessons she taught us will continue to live on in our hearts, reminding us of the love and vitality she shared with everyone around her. Born on April 19, 1947, Claudette was the beloved wife of Desmond (Dessie) McNeill of Abram-Village and cherished daughter of the late Leo J.T. Arsenault and the late Denise Arsenault of Abram-Village. Claudette will lovingly be remembered by her three sons: Greg, Darryl and Brian (Louise); by her brothers and sisters: Gérard (Cindy), Léona, Marcel, Léo Paul (Marcia), Angèle (Yvon), Normand (Darlene), Edgar (Sheila); by her grandchildren: Ethan, Genevieve and Emmett as well by her in-laws: Irene (Jimmy) MacDougall, Georgina (Percy) Arsenault, Rita McNeill and Sally McKinley; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Léo J.T. and Denise Arsenault; her parents-in-law Ambrose and Gertrude McNeill; brother Hilaire Arsenault; by in-laws Faustina (Walter), Anne (Don), Margaret (Gussie), Joseph, Leo, Everett (Sharon), Gerald and by nephew Joey. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for visiting hours on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a service at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be held in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Parish Cemetery, Egmont Bay at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Claudette’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
