Obituary of Sheila Mary Anne Barriault

August 18, 1967 ~ January 2, 2026 Surrounded by her loving family, Sheila Barriault (née Gallant) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the O’Leary Community Hospital in O’Leary, PE at the age of 58 years. Born August 18, 1967, she was the devoted wife of Daniel Barriault of St. Gilbert, PE and beloved daughter of Ovila (Joe) and Annette Gallant of Wellington, PE. Sheila will be dearly missed by her two daughters: Crystal (Donald Arsenault) and Catherine (Keagan Matheson) and by her brother Richard; and missed by her grandchildren: Lindsey, Leah, Ellie and Cleo; and by step-grandchildren Stephanie, Emma and Jaycee. She will forever be remembered by her brothers- and sister-in-law: Elmer, Simone (Maurice), Ronald (Amber), Karen, Richard (Jeannette) and Mona. Predeceased by her parents-in-law Mélina (née Richard) and John Barriault and step-father-in-law Harold Cameron; by brother Alvin (in infancy); and brother-in-law Pierre Caissie. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for visiting hours on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a service at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. Interment to take place in the St.-Philippe et St.-Jacques Parish Cemetery at a later date.
