Obituary of Edward Joseph Arsenault

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Edward Joseph Arsenault of St.-Philippe passed away suddenly at his residence on January 7, 2026, at the age of 69 years. Edward, born on February 23, 1956, was the beloved husband of Judy (née Ford) Arsenault and cherished son of the late Alyre JL Arsenault and the late Louise (née Wedge) Arsenault of St. Philippe, PEI.
Edward is survived by his loving son Ronnie (Amy) Arsenault and daughter Angela (John) Phillips; by his brothers and sisters: Jean-Pierre, Stephen Arsenault (Bonnie), Gerard (Darlene), Teresa (Rick) Marleau, Ann (Kevin) Gallant, Chuck (Rhonda), Paulette (Joe) Ryan, Paul (Martha) and Arthur (Loretta); by his grandchildren: Amber, Jake and Justin Phillips, Mariah, Drake and Jada Gaudet. He will always be remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Junior Ford, Eric Ford (Darlene), Joan (Owen) MacArthur, Linda (Leonard) Lewis and Arlene Ford (Mark); and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Alyre and Louise Arsenault, his parents-in-law Lloyd and Amy Ford and sisters-in-law Yvette Arsenault and Anne Arsenault.
Edward was the true definition of one-of-a-kind. He was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. For him, there was nothing more important than family. He was known by everyone as kind, loving and truly selfless. He had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed going to car shows and cruises with friends. His generosity knew no bounds – he was always willing to help everyone. Edward left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him and will be missed beyond words.
Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Philippe and Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
