February 2, 1942 ~ January 12, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of Dorina Arsenault (née Gallant) of Le Chez-Nous, Wellington, formerly of Mont-Carmel, which occurred on January 12, 2026, at the Prince County Hospital, at the age of 83. Born on February 2, 1942, Dorina was the beloved daughter of the late Albénie and Alina Gallant. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. Her family truly meant the world to her. Dorina was the loving wife of Lionel Arsenault, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was a cherished mother to Alain (Sandra) of St. Albert, Alberta; Rhéal (Gloria) of Mont-Carmel; Janine (Raymond Gallant) of Cape Egmont; Pierrette (Jean Arsenault) of St. Chrysostome; and Rachelle (Stéphane Arsenault) of Mont-Carmel. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride: Vanessa (Jesse), Catherine, Bianca (Derek), Mathieu, Josée, Daniel (Abby), Janelle (Tanner), Riel and Luc. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Robyn, Allie, Urbain, Joséphine, and Alain. Dorina is survived by her sisters Florence Bernard and Exina Richard; her sisters-in-law Marguerite Gallant, Leonie Gallant, Geralda Gallant, and Marie-Anne Arsenault. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her. She was predeceased by her parents; her parents-in-law, Théophile Arsenault and Lumina (Desroches); her stepmother-in-law Hilda Landry, her brothers Leo, Archie (Ceny), Glorice, and Wilfred Gallant; her sisters Denise Richard and Dorina (in infancy); and her brothers-in-law Léonce Bernard, Antoine Richard, Oxybé Richard, and Reggie Arsenault. Dorina loved gardening, watching and feeding the birds, and found great joy in music. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided her with quiet strength and gratitude. She was known for her excellent home-cooked meals and baking, which she lovingly shared with family. Dorina was friendly, kind-hearted, and truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Her warmth, love, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Prince County Hospital and the staff at the Coopérative Le Chez-Nous Ltée for their kindness, care and support.
