Marie “Jeannette” MacLellan Obituary

May 5, 1951 ~ February 6, 2026

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie

Jeannette MacLellan, at her residence in Grand River, on Friday, February 6,

2026, at the age of 74 years.

Born May 5, 1951, Jeannette was the beloved wife of Urban MacLellan of Grand

River and cherished daughter of the late Eric Arsenault of Maximeville and late

Margaret Arsenault of Cape Egmont. Predeceased by her brother Raymond

Arsenault and sister Hazel Gillis (Ronnie); and her sisters-in-law Sheila Trepanier

and Marlene Grant.

Jeannette revelled in her role as wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was

the pride and joy of her life. She loved Urban from the age of 17 until the day of

her passing, and that enduring love lives on in their three children: Mona

MacLellan (Lloyd), Justin MacLellan (Melissa), Regan MacLellan (Krista), and in

their nine cherished grandchildren: Cole (Kate), Avery, Taylor, Jayden (Ceejay),

Chandler (Jasmine), Sarah Jane (Gordon), Kennedie (Matt), Clark and Thea;

also, by her great grandchildren: Khamari and Truth.

Jeannette will be forever loved and deeply missed by her siblings: Norma

Arsenault, Lorraine Proulx (Mario), Simon Arsenault (Barb); by brothers- and

sister-in-law: Hilda Arsenault, Jean-Marc Trepanier, Harold Grant and June

(David) Yeo; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur baby, Archie.

If Jeannette were to be described in one word that captured the essence of who

she was, it would be boundless. From the smallest details to life’s greatest

milestones, she poured her energy into serving others, always attentive,

thoughtful and giving.

To know Jeannette was to be loved by Jeannette. She welcomed everyone with

warmth and kindness and never missed an opportunity to make someone feel

special. She was generous – with gifts, time and most of all love.

Jeannette was loyal employee for many years at Vector Aerospace. She was

also an entrepreneur, using her boundless energy and talents as a hostess,

seamstress, and crafter to run a series of small businesses, from wedding

decorating to creating thoughtful gift baskets.

Active in her community and known for her exceptional hospitality, Jeannette had

a gift for bringing people together. Her fudge was legendary, and her guitar jam

nights filled her home laughter and music. She transformed every gathering into

a joyful celebration – baking trays of sweets, and inventing elaborate games

complete with prizes for everyone.

She had a remarkable ability to turn even the most humble space into a warm

and welcoming home, and she shared her talents freely with anyone in need.

Though her warmth and generosity endeared her to all who knew her, she

remained deeply humble, never seeking the spotlight but instead shining her light

on those around her.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for

visiting hours on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will

be celebrated on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the St Patrick’s

Church, 4284 Route 12, Grand River, PE. Interment in the St. Patrick’s Parish

Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Special thanks to Dr. Morash’s team and the palliative home care team for the

amazing care and support.

Memorial donations in Jeannette’s memory made to the St. Patrick’s Parish

Cemetery Fund will be greatly appreciated.
