It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Adrus Joseph Gallant at Andrew’s of Summerside and formerly of Abram-Village, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 88 years. Adrus was the beloved husband of the late Merie Gallant (née Richard) and cherished son of the late Aubin and Annie Gallant of Abram-Village.

Adrus is survived by his loving children: Yvette (Francis) MacLellan, Jean Paul (Gisele), Anne (Robbie) Gallant, Donald (Paulette), Marcel (Yvonne); by his grandchildren: Michael (Stephanie), Jolene (Thomas), Ryan (Katie), Craig, Nicholas (Brittany), Troy, Chantal (Jason), Rachelle (Andrew), Marc-André (Allie), Alicia (Ryan) Patrick (Morgan); by great grandchildren: Marshall, Maisy, Cohen, Riley, Jade, Jacob, Josie and by many nieces and nephews.

He will forever be remembered by his brother Raymond, by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Ruth, Josephine, Larry, Zelma, Donalda (Donat), Aldona (Richard), Eunice, Victor, Aline and Elmer.

Predeceased by his parents Aubin and Annie Gallant, his parents- in-law Ceofred and Edna Richard, by daughter Donna in infancy and great grandson Carter; by his brothers: Arthur, Louis and Rene; his sisters: Alice, Mary Anne and Claire; by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Nora, Melina (Dick), Rene, Edward, Fred (Tina), Yvonne (Adrien) Cecile (Eric) and Donat.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Wednesday, February 25th from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 26th at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church, in Egmont Bay. Interment to follow the Mass in the Parish Cemetery
