It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Rose Gallant, at the Summerset Manor in Summerside on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 95 years. Marie Rose (Rosé) was preceded in death by her first husband, (Jérome Gallant), and her second husband (Fidèle Gallant). She was the cherished daughter of the late Émilien Bernard and the late Ida Cormier.

She will be dearly missed by her loving children: Robert (Donna), Mariette (Clarence) Webb, Jeannette (Claude), Blaquière, Maurice (Donna), Claudette (late - Doug) McQuaid, Michel (Monique), Monique (Jean-Paul) Gallant and by daughter-in-law Janice (late - Roger) Gallant. She will forever be remembered by her sisters: Louise (late - Leo) Poirier, Marguerite (Desmond) Arsenault and by sister-in-law Dorise (late - Elmer) DesRoches.

Her loving grandchildren: Laurisa, Chrissy, Rachelle, Claudine, Marc, Joshua, Carole, François, Paul, Patrick, Mélanie and Jérome will cherish her memory forever in their hearts. She will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, Braedon, Griffin, Russell, Campbell, Ella, Zach, Malcom, Riley and Emmy; and by her great-great-grandchildren: Laurisa and Kinsley, also by numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Émilien and Ida Bernard, her parents-in-law Antoine and Joséphine Gallant; her husbands: Jérome and Fidèle; her son Roger; her sisters: Marie, Mélina, Clairisse, Albina and her brother Henri; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rosella, Lucie, Benoit, André, Rev. Sylvère, Mélanie, Marie, Emma and Alyre.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for visiting hours on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 28 from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. The celebration of a Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay followed by the interment in the parish cemetery.

Donations made in Marie Rose’s memory to Le Chez Nous will be greatly appreciated.
