It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Wanda Gallant at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the age of 83 years.

Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband, Rene Gallant. She was the cherished daughter of the late Kenneth Enman and Sybil (nee MacKinnon).

She will be dearly missed by her loving children: Karen (Pierre), Judy (David), Sandy (Joe), Dion (Vera), and her special chosen daughter, Jennifer. She will also be forever cherished by her beloved grandchildren: Colton, Chanelle, Ryne (Tara), Nathan, Nikola, Shelaine (Ben), and Tianna (Brady), who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Ruth treasured time spent with her family and friends. Nothing made her happier than gathering with those she loved, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories. Her seven grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in watching them grow and celebrating their accomplishments. Her kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends touched many lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be forever remembered by her sister, Shirley Sophie (John), and by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lucy Enman, Maureen Enman, Raymond Gallant, Victor Rouselle, Larry Pilatzke, and Josephine Gallant.

Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Sybil Enman; her husband, Rene Gallant; her brothers, Arthur, Budd, Elwood, Blair, Bloice, Hazen, and Lloyd; her sister, Eunice; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: James MacSewwn, Odile Enman, Alice & Rene Maddix, Marie Anne, Adrus & Merie, Louis, Claire, and Arthur.

Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE, for visiting hours on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday, June 16, a Celebration of Christian Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, followed by interment in St. Philippe et St. Jacques Parish Cemetery.
