It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maxime Joseph Arsenault, which occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 92 years.

Born in Cape Egmont, Maxime was the beloved husband of Mildred (née Gaudet) Arsenault and the cherished son of the late Theodore and Edna Arsenault.

He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children: Wayne (Lori), Rosetta, Kevin (Kellie), and Rick (Karen); his grandchildren, Parker Arsenault and Natasia Arsenault; as well as by his many nieces and nephews.

Maxime is also survived by his brother, Fred (Shirley), and his sisters, Eileen and Anna Gallant. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Betty and Joe Arsenault, Janita and Alfred Arsenault, Urbain Arsenault, Anne Arsenault, and Lilly Arsenault.

Besides his parents, Maxime was predeceased by his special angel daughter at birth; his brothers and sisters, Alyre, Leo “Castor,” Theresa (Jim), Thelma, and Agnes; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doria (Eric) Richard, Noreen Arsenault, Joan (Blair) Heeschen, Edward Gaudet and Eric Gallant.

Resting at Evangeline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, P.E.I., with visiting hours on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Christian Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations in Maxime’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Prince County Hospital Foundation, or Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond.
