Obituary of Arsenault, Ernest J.
The family of Ernest J. (Ernie) Arsenault is saddened to announce his passing at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
Formerly from Le Chez Nous, Wellington Ernie was born in Summerside PEI, on August 30th, 1933 son of the late Frank and Josephine (Josie) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Sadie (nee Gallant) Arsenault, cherished father to Cheryl (Tom) Ball, Kelowna, BC, Colleen (Jamie) Logan, Ladysmith, BC, Corliss (Frank) Kettner, St. Genevieve, MB, and Cindy Lucas, Calgary, AB.
Loving stepfather to Andy (Liette) Gallant, Lucie (Bob Watson) Arsenault, Marie (Edgar Stewart) Fitzgerald, Barry (Jeanne) Gallant, Joyce (Albain Arsenault) Adams, Randy (Kim) Gallant, and daughters-in-law Elise Milligan, Mary Eversfield and Annette MacDonald NewLove.
Survived by sisters Dorothy Tupper, Helen Sonier and Alvina Arsenault, also brother Windsor (Astrid Johnson) Arsenault, and sister-in-law Jerri Arsenault.
Ernie will be forever remembered by numerous grandkids and great grandkids as a loving Grampie, Papa, Pépé and Grand-Pépé.
Ernie was predeceased by brothers Frank and Ray Arsenault, sister Olga Lentz, brothers-in-law Claude Lentz, Murray Tupper and Norman Sonier, sister-in-law Paula Arsenault, and stepsons Wendell, Leon and Mike Gallant.
Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home, Urbainville. Due to Covid19 restrictions visiting hours and funeral mass will be announced at a later date. Interment will follow in St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church cemetery, Egmont Bay.
Memorial donations in Ernie's memory made to La coopérative le Chez-Nous, Wellington, or to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
