Obituary of Gallant, Cedric Joseph

The death occurred peacefully with his family by his side at Clinton View Lodge on Friday August 31st, 2018 of Cedric J. Gallant at the age of 82 years from Mont Carmel.Born in Mont Carmel,he was the son of the late Magloire and Eugénie (nee Hashie) Gallant. Cedric was a devoted husband to Aldine (nee Richard) and loving father to Michel (Julie), Monique (Michel), Muriel (Jimmy) Williams and grandfather to Jamie Williams, Danielle Gallant and Tyler Williams. He will be forever remembered by brothers Fred and Clarence. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Wednesday, September 5th then to the Notre-Dame-du-Mont- Carmel-Church, Mont Carmel where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Cedric's memory to the Mont Carmel Church would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. If you would like to send a message of condolence to his family please send an email to: evangelinefuneralcoop@pei.aibn.com The funeral mass for Cedric Joseph Gallant of Clinton View Lodge, formerly of Mont Carmel, beloved husband of Aldine (nee Richard) Gallant was held on Wednesday September 5th, from the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville then to Our Lady of Mont-Carmel Church, Mont Carmel at 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Eddie Cormier who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell assisted by Fr. Michel Painchaud. The pall was placed on the casket by the grand children's: Jamie Williams, Danielle Gallant and Tyler Williams. The readings were proclaimed by Aldine Richard and the prayers of the faithful were addressed by Mike Gallant. The active pallbearers were Martin Gallant, Ronald Arsenault, Lionel Arsenault, Sinclair Walker, Lawrence Blacquiere and Jamie Gallant. The flower bearers were Jean Walker and Marc Gallant. Cross bearer was Albert Arsenault and the candle bearers were Ralph and Phyllis Dunn. Eucharistic ministers were Lorraine Gallant and Marcella Poirier. The community church choir was under the direction and organist Edmond Gallant. Interment took place in the church cemetery with Fr. Michel Painchaud officiating.
