The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at home in Richmond, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 of Wayne Gallant at the age of 60 years. Born on November 4th, 1957, he was the son of the late Bernice (nee Perry)and Jim Hogan and the late Alan Gallant, grand-son of the late Agatha and Gus Perry. He was a devoted husband to Ellen Margaret(nee Waite) Gallant and loving father to Earnest Waite, Stewart Gallant and Bernice Gallant as well as a grand-father to Blaze Marshall Geary. He is survived by brothers-in-law Leigh (Mary) Paugh, Elmer Waite, Ernest (Roseann) Waite and Albert Waite and sister-in-law Pauline(Fred)Gallant, Alice (Robert)Gallant,Alma (Gerry) Fortin and Carol (Philip) Brown. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday, April 13th then for a funeral service at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Wellington at a later date. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 12th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to send a message of condolence to his family, please send an email to: evangelinefuneralcoop@pei.aibn.com The funeral service for Wayne Gallant of Richmond, dear husband of Ellen Margarat was held on Friday April 13th, in the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Chapel, Urbainville at 1:00 p.m., with Fr. Andrew Handrahan who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell. The opening hymn was with Pastor Sean V. Ward on guitar and his wife Roseanne Ward on piano. The readings were read by Carol Brown and Robert Gallant who also did the prayer of the faithful. The active pallbearers were Brian Boylan, Doug Waite, Elmer Waite, Phillip Brown, Robert Gallant and Leigh Paugh. Flower bearers were Blaize Geary, Nancy Boylan, Mary Barlow, Deanna Barlow and Alice Gallant. Closing hymn was with Billy Shaw on guitar. Interment will take place in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Wellington at a later date.
