Obituary of Caissie, Marie Eva

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Eva Caissie age 82 years, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018. Born in Abram-Village on February 15th, 1936 daughter of the late Félix and Lena (LeClair) Arsenault and step-mother Marie Arsenault (deceased) Marie was a devoted wife to Willie Caissie and loving mother to Roger (Debbie), Raymond, Edmond (Valrey), Ronnie, Ernest (Barb),Jean Paul (Tammy) and Edward as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be forever remembered by her brothers and sisters Theresa (deceased)Léo (Rita), Louise (the late Levi), Clara (Cameron), Junior Félix (Janette), Geneva (Urbain) and Zita (Paul) and sister-in-law Melina (the late Roderick),brother-in-law Vince. Marie is predeceased by sister Yvonne; brother-in-law Théodore (deceased) (the late Pansy, the late Mary) and sister-in-law Adelina (deceased). Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Monday, March 12th, then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Marie's memory to Prince County Hospital, S'side, the Alzheimer's Society or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 11th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. If you would like to send a message of condolence to her family, please send an email to: evangelinefuneralcoop@pei.aibn.com Marie Eva Caissie The funeral for Marie Eva Caissie of Summerside, beloved wife of William Caissie was held on Monday March 12th, from the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Michel Painchaud who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell. The readings were proclaimed by Sister Marie Arsenault and Carol Martin Caissie. The prayers of the faithful were addressed by Sister Marie Arsenault. The active pallbearers were Marcel Arsenault, Albain Arsenault, Alfred Caissie and Ivan Gallant. Flower bearers were grand-children's Hailey Caissie, Brett Caissie and Jennifer Callaghan. The cross bearer was Vincent Gallant and the candle bearer were Mélina Gallant and Benita Duguay. Eucharistic ministers were Léona Gallant and Bernice Gallant. The community Church choir was under the direction, guitar Jeannita Bernard. Sister Marie Arsenault sang (J'irai la Voir UN Jour) accompanied on guitar by Jeannita. The Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home and AJL Contractors Ltd. attended as a group. Parking attending was André Gallant. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery at a later date.
