Obituary of Gallant, Armand Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Friday February 16, 2018 of Armand Joseph Gallant formerly of Abram's Village at the age 74 years. Born on May 30th, 1943 he was the son of the late Leo P. and Nelida (Nellie) Gallant.
Armand was a devoted husband to Florence Marguerite (nee Dunphy)Gallant and loving father to Kenneth Gallant and Jo-anne Gallant (Raymond MacPhee). Armand is survived by his loving grand children: Krystal, Justin, Cody, Riley and two nephews: Shawn,Steven and niece Sarah Gallant.
He will be forever remembered by his brothers and sisters: Sr. Norma Gallant Abram's Village, Lorraine (Raymond) LeBlanc Iles-de-la-Madelline, Roger (Katherine) Mississauga,Ont., Stella (Don) Renaud Pembrook, Ont. and Eldon (Carolyn) Barrie Ont.
Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday February 23, 2018 then to St. Phillipe and St. Jacques Church,Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.Interment to place in the church cemetery at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Armand's memory to the Wedgewood Manor would be greatly appreciated.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 22,from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday February 23 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Armand Joseph Gallant
The funeral for Armand Joseph Gallant of the Wedgewood Manor in S'Side and formerly of Abram-Village, dear husband of Florence Margaret was held on Friday February 23rd from the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville to St-Philippe et St Jacques Church, Egmont Bay. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Michel Painchaud who proclaimed the gospel, delivered the homily and read the prayers of the final commitment and farewell. The readings were proclaimed by Armand's aunt, Thérésa Gallant who also addressed the prayers of the faithful. The urn was carried by Kenneth Gallant, Armand's son. Cross bearer was Paul Gallant, Armand's uncle, candle bearers were Roger and Eldon Gallant, Armand's brothers. The community Church choir was under the direction of Jeannita Bernard, organist was Edmond Gallant. The Sisters of the Congrégation de Notre Dame attended as a group. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery at a later date.
