Obituary of Richard, Edmond J.

Surrounded by his family, the death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, February 5th, 2018 of Edmond J. Richard of Summerset Manor, formerly of Mont Carmel at the age of 85 years. He was born on June 24th, 1932 son of the late Gildas and Bella (nee Arsenault) Richard. Besides his loving wife, Merie Rose (nee Wedge) Richard, he is survived by his children: Carl, Brian (Diane), Diane (Russell), Danny (Jeanette), Wayne (Nicole), Gary (Wanda) and Nancy (Steven). He was a cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and will be forever remembered by his brothers Clarence (Léonie) and Albin (Sharon) and sisters-in-law Exina Richard and Antoinette Richard. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by brothers and sisters. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Wednesday, February 7th then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Visitation shall be received on Tuesday, February 6th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Edmond's memory can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
