Obituary of Gallant, Ida

At Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017, the death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family of Ida Gallant age 89. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Stanislas Arsenault and Célina Arsenault of Abram-Village. Beloved wife of the late Camille Gallant, son of Joe Jacques and Mélanie Gallant and loving mother to Jules (Jean) Gallant, Eric (friend Colette Arsenault) Gallant, Célina (Raymond) Arsenault, Yvonne Gallant, Louise (Johnny) Gallant, Émile (Sylvie) Gallant and Jeanne (Barry) Gallant. She is a cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Ida is also survived by sisters: Anna Goguen, Avola (Elmer) Gallant and Eveline (Faustin) Gallant and the following in-laws: Denise Arsenault, Vitaline (Donat) Arsenault, Eveline (Edmond) Gallant and Jacques (Hermine) Gallant. Ida is predeceased by her following brothers and sisters: Étienne and Estelle Arsenault, Léo JT Arsenault, Tilmon Arsenault, Clement Arsenault, Rita and Alyre Arsenault, Thér&egravese and Gus Arsenault, Marie and André Leger. Ida is predeceased by her following in-laws: Wilfred Goguen, Léo and Adelina Gallant, Lucie and Edmond Cormier. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville until Monday, May 15, 2017, then to St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donation can be made to the Le Chez-Nous Ltée, Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home or to Joey trust fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday May 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
