Obituary of Arsenault, Alyre Gus *** UPDATE ***

** UPDATE ** The funeral service for the late Alyre Arsenault is cancelled for today and rescheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, January 24th) at 3 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond. The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 of Alyre Gus Arsenault of Wellington, aged 93 years, who died peacefully surrounded by his family. Alyre was born on September 13, 1929 in St. Chrysostome, son of the late Joseph (José) and Lucie Anne Arsenault. Beloved husband of the late Corinne Arsenault; loving stepfather of Leonce (Kathleen), Marcel, Pierre; and proud grandfather of Eddie and Paul (Miranda). Alyre will also be fondly remembered by his brothers Peter (Rose) Arsenault, Albert (Norma) Arsenault, sister in-law Yvonne Arsenault, and in-laws Imelda (Edmond) Arsenault, Toronto; Ella (Robert) Poirier, Miscouche, and Marguerite Gallant, Wellington. Alyre is predeceased by his brothers Willie (Yvonne / Madeleine) Arsenault, Franky (Marie Anne) Arsenault, Joseph (Aline) Arsenault, Lévi (Louise) Arsenault, Léo Arsenault, Edward (Corinne) Arsenault, sisters Rita (Joe) Bourque, Hél&egravene (Joseph) Gallant, and by in-laws Tilmon (Angéline) Cormier, Alyre (Yvette) Cormier, Antoine (Grace) Cormier, Lucie (Hubert Blanchard / Alfred Mugridge), Ir&egravene (Albenie) Bernard, Joseph (Alma) Cormier, Zita (Lawrence Arsenault / Albert Gallant), Toussaint (Yvonne) Cormier, Edmond (Lucie) Cormier, and Raymond Gallant, Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, then to the Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, where funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment in the church vault.
