Obituary of Arsenault, Catherine Mary

Surrounded by her family, the death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 of Mary Catherine (Kate) (nee Poirier) Arsenault from Le Chez-Nous Ltd. and formerly of Mont Carmel at the age of 100 years. Beloved wife of the late Hector Arsenault, Catherine was born on June 26, 1915 in St Louis, P.E.I., the daughter of the late Francis and Cécile (Gaudin) Poirier. She was the last surviving member of her family. Catherine is survived by her two loving children Elmer (Cécile) Arsenault and Stella Frenette. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Liette (Pierre) ,Darrel (Denise), Violet (Stephen), Richard (Sherry), Kevin, Michel (Wanda) and great-grandchildren Sam, Justin, Cassidy, Ethan, Mikayla, Sonia and Aaron. Catherine is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine is predeceased by her husband, her parents and brothers and sisters. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Saturday, August 22, 2015 then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Catherine's memory to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church would be greatly appreciated.
