Obituary of Gallant, Geralda Adele

Géralda Adele (nee Caissie) Gallant passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 24th ,2015 at Summerset Manor, Summerside formerly of Abram's Village, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her loving family. Géralda was born in Grand Dique, N.B. on August 22, 1922. Beloved wife of the late Alcide Gallant and daughter of the late Herve and Anna Caissie. She is survived by her loving children: Annette (Joe) Gallant - Summerside, Réné Gallant - B.C.,Francine Gallant -Summerside, Thér&egravese (Jon) Nilsson - Ontario, Lucille (Gordon) Short - St. Chrysostome, Judy (George) Robichaud - Abram's Village, Noella (Rod) Power - Ontario, Sylvia (Bill) Stateeski - Ontario, Marcel (Maxine) Gallant - St. John, N.B. Mary (Glen) - Halifax, N.S., Stella (Dave) Hingley - Halifax, N.S. and Nicole (Keith) Balcom - Annapolis Valley, N.S. Géralda was a caring mémé/ grandmother to 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is a loving sisters and brothers to Lena Doucette, Georgette (Josephat) Cormier, Armand Caissie, Edgar Caissie, Alvin Caissie, Paul (Stella) Caissie, Valerie Caissie and Bernard Caissie . Géralda's was predeceased by her beloved husband Alcide Gallant - 1996, daughters Géraldine, Claudette Cameron, Marie Jeanne, brothers: Henry, Réné and Louis. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Friday February 27th ,2015 then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Géralda's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home would be greatly appreciated.
