Obituary of Arsenault, Archie

With heavy hearts and with his family by his side, we announce the passing of Arsene (Archie) Arsenault at the age of 82 years, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, January 4, 2015. A resided of Le Chez- Nous and formerly of St Chrysostome. Born in Maximeville on January 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Elizee and Théodosie (nee Richard) Arsenault. He was a devoted husband to Julie Anne (nee Gallant) Arsenault and loving father to Cecile (Wilfred) Thompson, Eldon (Joyce), Raymond (Carla), Edmond (Ann), Tilmon (Vaunda), Stella (Adrien) Arsenault, Marcia (Joey) Jay, Ernest (Cindy), Marie (Kevin) McKenna, Elmer (Cheryl) and Lionel (Lisa). He will be lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Archie was a treasure to his brothers and sisters: Donat (Vitaline), Marguerite (Amand) Arsenault, Laurie, Alfred (Alice), Oliver (Alphonsine), Celina (Edward) Gallant, Tilmon (Mae), Edgar (Eva) and Freda Bernard (Byron). He is survived by sisters-in-law Lorraine, Rita, Ella and Vicky as well as numerous brothers-in-law, other sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant son Ernest, brothers Amand, René. Phil, Regis and Gérard and sisters-in-law Katherine and Mélina. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Thursday, January 8, then for a funeral service at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Crapaud Gospel Hall Cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday, January 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. only.
