Obituary of Gallant, Rita Marie-Rose

Surrounded by her loving family, at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside, Rita Marie Rose (nee Arsenault) Gallant died peacefully on Friday July 25th , 2014 at the age of 85 years. Formally from St. Timothy, she resided at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside. Born on August 31st 1928 in St. Gilbert daughter of the late Fid&egravele and Catherine (Kate) nee Maddix Arsenault and wife of the late Edmond Gallant and late Alphonse Gallant. Rita is survived by her children: Ronnie Gallant, Vincent(Jeannette)Gallant, Bertha Ellis, Sylvia Gallant, Yvette (Blair) Collicutt, Anne Arsenault, Marie (Peter) Arsenault, Louis Gallant (Julie Barriault) and daughter-in-law Eleanor Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her numerous grand-children and great grand-children. Will be forever remembered by her sisters and brothers Louise (Frank)Hammond Ontario, Cecilia Pineault Ontario, Corinne (Ben) Gaudet, Abel (Gloria) Arsenault St.John, N.B., Rose (Peter) Arsenault and Ernest (Judy) Arsenault. Sister-in-law Pat Arsenault, AB and Hugette Arsenault, Ontario. Brother-in-law Joseph Cormier. Predeceased by her parents, husbands, daughter Edna and sons Eldon, Paul and Eric. Brothers Anthony and Bobby, sisters Alma and Thelma, brother-in-law Gustave Gallant. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Monday July 28th , then to the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 27th , from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations made in her memory to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Building Fund or the Notre- Dame- du - Mont- Carmel Church would be greatly appreciated.
