Obituary of Arsenault, Peter L.
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter L. Arsenault age 87,announce his peaceful passing on Thursday June 5th , 2014, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Peter was born in Maximeville, on March 04,1927 the youngest son of the late Léon and Marie Arsenault.
He is survived by his loving wife Catherine (nee Gallant) and ten children: Peter (Gloria), Brampton; Carol (Gérard),Moncton; Raymond (Lucie); Stella (Peter); Elmer (Dianne) Moncton; Dennis, Little Brook, N.S.; Norma (Ron) Brampton; Yvette (Bill); Richard and Michel (Cathy).Peter is also going to be greatly missed by his 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Peter's leaves behind three sisters :Emily Blacquiere, Dorothy Morgan (Montreal) and Aline Poirier.
He is predeceased by many siblings, Lena, Corinne, Mathilda, John, Fred, Theodore and Edmond. Peter made a living for over 50 years as a fisherman in Egmont Bay. He always showed great care for his family and had a great love for animals.
Peter will be resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Tuesday June 10, then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations in Peter's memory to the Prince County Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 09, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
