Obituary of Gallant, Rene Joseph

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rene Joseph Gallant on Friday, April 22, 2022. Rene died peacefully at home in Abram-Village at the age of 81 years and was the beloved husband of Ruth (Enman) Gallant, father to Karen (Pierre) Gallant, Judy (David) MacIsaac, Sandy Marcoux, Dion (Vera) Gallant and his special chosen daughter Jennifer Pace. He cherished his grandchildren Colton, Chanelle, Ryne, Nathan, Nikola, Shelaine and Tianna. Survived by his sister Mary Anne (Victor) Rousselle, brothers Adrus Gallant, Raymond Gallant, sister-in-law Jo Gallant, brother-in-law Larry Pilatzke, special friends Don & Shirly Meronek and numerous nieces and nephews. Rene was predeceased by his parents Aubin and Annie Gallant, sisters Alice Maddix and Claire Gallant, brothers Louis and Arthur, brother-in-law Rene Maddix and sister-in-law Merie Gallant. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday, April 27 then to the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church Egmont Bay for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Visitations at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene's memory to the Pallative Home Care Program or the Prince County Hospital Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
