Obituary of McNeill, Sophie Marie Helen

The death occurred peacefully with her family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, April 17, 2022 of Sophie Mary Helen McNeill (née Gallant) of Wellington, at the age of 73 years. Born November 17, 1948, she was the beloved wife of the late Francis (Frankie) McNeill of Wellington and the daughter of the late Ernest and Madeline (née Katarynych) Gallant. Sophie will dearly be remembered and missed by her two loving sons Terry (Kelly) and Corey (Laura) and by close friends Patsy and Russell. Her memory will forever be cherished by her grandchildren Kaitee, Jodi, Jaden, Reilly, Colton and by numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law Betty Kilbride, Marie Snyder, Roberta Passerino, Evelyn (Ronald) Gallant, Clarence McNeill, Raymond McNeill, Robert (Claudette) McNeill and Faith McNeill. Predeceased by her husband Frankie, her parents Ernest and Madeline Gallant, her parents in-law Leonard and Julia McNeill, her sister-in-law Loretta Brown, by her brothers-in-law Victor Brown, Lorne Kilbride, Russell Snyder, William McNeill, George Passerino, Aldean McNeill, Elizabeth McNeill and by a brother, Ernest Alex in infancy and by her special aunt, Hél&egravene. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, Urbainville where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m. Interment will be held a later date in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Richmond. Memorial donations in Sophie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
