Obituary of James (Jim) Walter Black

June 20, 1943 ~ May 17, 2023 It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my husband, soulmate and best friend James (Jim) Walter Black on May 17, 2023, at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton and formerly of Wellington. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Sharon (Arsenault) and his fur baby Abi; son Stephen (Makiko) of Japan; stepson Kevin (Claude) Savoie of St Sophie, Quebec; grandchildren: Ken (Misaki), Rin, Risa and Rianna; and great grandchildren Elle and Rio all of Japan. Survived by brothers Gregory, Dale and by sister Judy King of N.B., sister-in-law Ronalda Arsenault of B.C. He was predeceased by brothers John, Gordon, sister Joan, brother-in-law Kenneth Arsenault, Bob Emmerson and Willard King. As per Jim’s wishes, there will be no wake or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 4:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Wellington Centre. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #17 Wellington, will hold a legion service at the cemetery at 4 p.m. Donations made in Jim’s memory directly to a charitable organization of your choice will be greatly appreciated. “You are gone but thank you for all the soft, sweet things you have left behind in our home, in my mind and in my heart. Until we meet again Love you forever Sharon”
