In Loving Memory of Caroline Ann "Carol" Shields

September 16, 1943 - February 22, 2022

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 of Caroline Ann (Carol) Shields (nee Arsenault) of Wellington, formerly of Grand River, aged of 78 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Marguerite Arsenault.

Carol was the loving wife of Rook (Muncey) Shields. She is survived by her dear daughter Louanne Maddix (Wayne) and by her precious grandsons Dylan Maddix (Kristan) and Logan Maddix (Madelyne); brothers and sisters Eric (Peggy) Arsenault, Diane (Stan) Arsenault, Lorraine (Ivers) Grigg, Bernice (Bob) Ault, Kirk (Lynn) Arsenault, sister in-law Helen Arsenault and brother in-law Donnie Ballum.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Jason Shields (2011), brother Lorne Arsenault (2016) and sister Mary Ballum (2006).

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home in Urbainville where, due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family gathering (by invitation only maximum capacity of 50 per viewing) will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vax pass is required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Church, Grand River. Interment will be held at a later date.
