Obituary of Louis Joseph Arsenault

September 21, 1961 ~ August 20, 2023 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Louis “Louie” Joseph Arsenault, at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 61 years. Louis was born in Summerside on September 21, 1961, son of the late Abel and Eva (née Gallant) Arsenault. He had so much love for his family and especially for his “Mom” whom he missed dearly since her passing last year. Beside his weekly outings at the “Wing”, Louis was quite content to stay at home most of the time. He was a very quiet guy who mainly kept to himself but he will be missed beyond words. Louis is survived by his very special friend Marlene MacAusland; by brothers: Gerald (Gladys) Arsenault of Abram-Village, Paul (Brenda) Arsenault of Wellington, Alan (Denise) Arsenault of Maple Ridge B.C. and by sister Sandra (Amand) Gallant of St. Philippe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Natalie, Francine, Lyanne, Katherine, Timmy, Rachael, Amy and Jordan; along with several great nieces and nephews; Marlene’s 3 daughters: Deborah, Brenda and Cheryl (David). He will also be remembered by several aunts and uncles and many cousins. Predeceased by his father and mother, by brothers Robert and Martin; and by his grandparents. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 PE-124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Friday, August 25th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at t the Funeral Home at 3:15 p.m. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Richmond, following the memorial service. Donations in Louis’s memory made to the Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.
