Obituary of Jerome McNeill

DANIEL JEROME (ROMIE) MCNEILL November 22, 1935 ~ December 22, 2023 It is with great sadness in our hearts that we, the family of Daniel Jerome (Romie) McNeill, announces his passing at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the age of 88 years. Born November 22, 1935, Jerome was the beloved husband of Shirley (Lynch) McNeill and cherished son of the late James and Celina (Perry) McNeill. Jerome was the cherished father of: Pam (Mike) Bernard, Kim (Frank) Goodwin, Karen (Wayne) MacDonald, Kathy McNeill-Gallant, Sherry – deceased (Trevor MacKinnon), Jackie (Danny) MacDougall and son-in-law Leonard Gallant. He will forever be remembered by his grandchildren: Wendy Poole, Mallory Ellis, Josh Goodwin, Kelsey Goodwin, Lacey Crozier, Chase MacDonald, Mason Gallant, Paige Gallant, Carter MacDougall; and great grandchildren: Nolan, Cullen, Kessler, Kaci, Jax, Easton, Jed, Krew, Ethan and Callie; and by his sisters-in-law: Marjorie Lynch and Patricia Lynch; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers and sisters; Mary Noonan, Bob McNeill, Marge Gaudet, Ed McNeill, Len McNeill, Gussie McNeill, Theodore McNeill, Agnes MacWilliams; and by brothers and sisters-in-law of the Lynch family. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville for visiting hours on Tuesday, December 26th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, December 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Donations in Jerome’s memory made to the Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund or to the Diabetes Association will be greatly appreciated.
