February 27, 1938 ~ August 14, 2024

It is with sadness in our hearts that we, the family of Marie Eveline Gallant (née Arsenault) of Wellington, announces her passing at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the age of 86 years. Eveline will be forever missed by her beloved husband of 65 years, Faustin Gallant. She was the daughter of the late Joseph T. (Joe Tannis) and Céline (née Gallant) formerly of Abram-Village. Evelyn was the youngest and the last surviving member of the Joe Tannis family.

Eveline will be dearly missed by her cherished children: Donna (Patrick) McMillan, Ed (Janine) Gallant, Dan (Marianne) Gallant, and Brenda (Bob) Seltzer; and predeceased by her son Kenny Gallant. She is survived by her loving grandchildren: Julia, Brad (Jade), Scott, Corieen, Laura (deceased), Jaimee, Nikki and by chosen granddaughter Rea; by great granddaughter Olive; by sister-in-law Marguerite Gallant (of Le Chez-Nous) and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, son Kenny, granddaughter Laura; brothers and sisters: Étienne (Estelle – 1st marriage) (Jackie – 2nd marriage), Léo (Denise), Clément, Tilmon, Marie (André), Rita (Alyre), Ida (Camille), Anna (Wilfred), Thérèse (Gus) and Avola (Elmer); by brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Claire (Aline) Gallant and Joe (Joseph) Gallant.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Saturday, August 24th from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:15 p.m. then to the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Parish Cemetery for family and close friends for grave-side prayers at 3:15 p.m. Those attending the services are welcome to a luncheon at the Village musical acadien (Centre Expo-Festival) at 4 p.m.
