August 31, 1937 - August 18, 2024

Jean-Pierre (Peter J.) Arsenault – It is with great sadness that the family of Peter J. Arsenault of Wellington, PEI announces his passing at the O’Leary Community Hospital on August 18, 2024.

Born August 31, 1937, Peter was the beloved husband of Rose Arsenault. He will be sadly missed by his wife Rose; his children Sandra, Ronald (Dianne), Ivan (Kate), Karen (James), Marlene (Earl), Nola (Trent); grand-children Candace, Shelby, Hannah, Bradley, Carrie, Ryan and Ethan; and great grand-children Victoria, Nathan, Brogan, Rhylyn, Dexter and Maci.

Peter was the son of the late Joseph J. and Lucie Anne Arsenault. He is survived by his brother Albert (Norma) Arsenault and predeceased by brothers Edward, Franky, Willie, Léo, Joseph, Lévi and Alyre, and sisters Hélène and Rita.

Peter was a proud firefighter and a furnace repair man for many years. He loved all animals and his used cars. One of his favorite pastimes was to go out for coffee with his friends.

Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home, 900, Route124 Urbainville, PEI. for visiting hours on Wednesday, August 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Evangeline Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, at 2 p.m. followed by the interment in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church Parish Cemetery, Egmont Bay.

Memorial donations to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre, PEI Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
