March 26, 1945 ~ November 27, 2024

The death occurred peacefully with her loving family by her side at home in Richmond, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, of our mom, Joan (Grady) Gallant at the age of 79 years. Joan was born in Summerside on March 26, 1945, daughter of the late Elmer and Marie (Arsenault) Grady. She was predeceased by our dad, her loving husband, Raymond, and her great-granddaughter Sophie and her extended brother Coke.

Joan was the dedicated mother of Karen (Danny Gaudet), Kathleen (Mario Couture) and Rick (Jennifer Arsenault), and a sister to whom she was also a mother, Donna (David Gallant). She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and by numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Joan was very proud of her career as an RCW, always caring for and helping others. In her retirement years, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, for visiting hours on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. followed with the interment in the Parish Cemetery.

Donations made in Joan’s memory to the Wellington Legion Poppy Fund will be greatly appreciated.
