Obituary of Caissie, Alphonsine

The death occured peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, of Marie Alphonsine Caissie (née Barriault) of Maximeville, PEI at the age of 90 years. Born on March 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie Anne (Arsenault) Barriault of Maximeville. She was the last surviving sibling of the family. Beside her loving husband Joseph (Joe), left to cherish her memory are her children Ronald (Gail) and Louise Rousselle. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Évangéline (Freddy-deceased) Gallant, Yvonne (Léo-deceased) Arsenault, Rose Arsenault, Camille (Geraldine- deceased) Caissie, Freddy (Irene Perry) Caissie, Antoine (Paulette) Caissie and Leo Caissie - deceased (Betty). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Joey, Jamie (Rachelle), Jonathan (Janet), Tina Rousselle and by great grandchildren Madison, Donavyn, Owen and by numerous nephews and nieces. Alphonsine was predeceased by her sister Doreen (Tilmon G and Alyre) Arsenault, and by brothers Raymond (Annette and Mary) and Clarence (Janine) and in-laws John Peter (Aline), Alyre (June), Marie Anne (Franky), Alodie (Léonce) and Ella (Phil). Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home where, due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family gathering by invitation will be held on Monday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral Mass at the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church, Egmont Bay at 3 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery.
