Obituary of Gallant, Frida Thérèse
Surrounded by her loving family it is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Frida Thérèse Gallant, (née Bernard) at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on August 5th, 2021, at the age of 87. Born on July 3rd, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Antonin Bernard and Emma Bernard (née Cormier).
Frida is survived and sadly missed by her children; Jeanette (Randy) Gallant, Alvin (Nicole Savoie), Mariette (Brian) Dunn, Marcia (Ron) Cahill, Roland (Lizanne), and Rhéal. She will be dearly missed by her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as her "adopted" daughters Paulette Richard and Madeleine Arsenault.
She is also survived by her beloved brothers and sisters; Adrien (Claire), Sr. Hermine, Amand (Marie), Maria (Robert, deceased), Ronald, Léona, and sisters-in-law Rose Gallant, Florence Bernard, Esther (Richard, deceased) Steele and Maguerite Gallant and brother in-law Leonard (Pat, deceased). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents and parents-in-law she was predeceased by her husband Isidore, brothers Ernest, Léonce, sisters Sr. Marie-Leonce (Rita) and Maguerite, sister-in-law Zelica (Joe) Arsenault, brothers in-law Father Edmond Gallant, Raymond Gallant.
Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville, where due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family gathering by invitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, at 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 31st at 10:30 am at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Catholic Parish Church, Mont-Carmel.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donation in Frida's memory can be made directly to
Le Chez Nous, Wellington.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Summerset Manor and Le Chez Nous for their care and generosity over the past few years.
