Obituary of Richard, Arsène

Moncton, NB ~ Ars&egravene Richard, 91, passed away peacefully at the Faubourg Du Mascaret in Moncton, on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021. Born in Mount-Carmel, PEI, he was the son of the late Glorice Richard and the late Marie-Anne Richard born Aucoin. Ars&egravene was a highly cultivated man, he studied in colleges and in universities, at the "Coll&egravege Saint-Joseph" of Memramcook, the "Université de Louvain" in Belgique and at the "Institut Catholique de Paris" in Paris. Ars&egravene was extremely proud of his career at the "Université de Moncton" where he taught Philosophy for 34 years. Ars&egravene was also a Priest within the Congregation of Holy Cross. Ars&egravene will be dearly missed by his brother, Adolphe Richard (Léona) of Wellington, PEI; two sisters, Mélina Richard of Moncton, and Bertha Richard (Gordon Perry) of Summerside, PEI; three sisters-in-law, Rosella (late Cyril) of Mount Carmel, PEI, Ang&egravele (late Martin) of Summerside, PEI and Maria (late Robert) of Summerside, PEI; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Moncton (625, Mountain Road), on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021, from 7pm until 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Catholic Parish Church, Mont Carmel, PEI on Friday, July 9th followed by interment in the Parish cemetery. Besides his parents, Ars&egravene was predeceased by four brothers, Cyril, Martin, Éric (late Doria) and Robert; two sisters, Sr Marguerite Richard CND and Hél&egravene Richard Dérasp (late Joseph); also by his earlier life partner, Laurielle Arsenault.
