Obituary of McNeill, William James "Bill"

MCNEILL James William "Bill" - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the sudden passing of a great man, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, on October 27th, 2020 at his home in Richmond, PEI. He was born on November 29th, 1934 the son of the late Leonard and Julia McNeill. Bill lived for his family and could always be found tinkering in his workshop, helping out, running the roads looking for someone to tell his stories to and playing cards. He will be sadly missed by his wife Faith (Coughlin), his children, Cindy MacDougall (Clarence Brown), Shane (Holly), Shelly MacDonald (Donnie) and Jamie (Michael Gillies). He dearly loved his grandchildren, Melissa (Adam), Barry (Cassie), Chad (Samantha),Devon (Shyrstin), Taylor (Barry), Megan (Colby), Abbie, Jacob and Lucas and his great grand-children Isabelle, Alex, Layla, Archie and Bo. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Clarence (Aldeane deceased), Betty (Lorne deceased) Kilbride, Ray (Elizabeth deceased), Marie (Russell deceased) Snyder, Evelyn (Ronnie) Gallant, Roberta (George) Passerino, Robert (Claudette) and sister in-law Sophie. Predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Julia McNeill, in-laws Clarence and Lilla Coughlin, Sister Loretta (Victor) Brown and brother Frankie. Due to current restrictions a private family visitation will be held at Évangéline Funeral Home followed by a private family funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, on Friday, October 30th. If so desired memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, Building Fund.
