Obituary of Gallant, Louise Marie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Marie Gallant (née Arsenault) of Wellington, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 86. Louise was the daughter of the late Donat and Béatrice (Wedge) Arsenault. Left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters Stephen (Delores) Gallant, Yvonne Stewart, Cathy Gallant, Earl Gallant, Roger Gallant, Rene Gallant, Joseph Gallant, Delore Gallant (Carolyne), and Gisele Gallant. She will also be missed by her brother Martin (Delma) Arsenault and sister Florence (Elmer) Gallant and by her in-laws Beatrice (Edward - deceased) Arsenault, Julia (Euclide - deceased) Arsenault, Stella (Wilfred - deceased) Arsenault, Sharon (Clarence - deceased) Arsenault and Phylis (Rene - deceased) Arsenault. She leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Beside her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband Dolore Gallant, her son Leonard Gallant and by sisters Josephine (Cyr) Gallant and Anita (Expedit) Gallant and by her brother Raymond Arsenault. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home in Urbainville where, due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family gathering and a funeral service in the funeral home chapel will be held Friday evening. Interment will be held at a later date at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Scarborough, Ontario. In Louise's memory, you can make a donation directly to the PEI Chapter of Parkinson Canada.
